FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHY FAQ

Family photographs are a must, any time of year. I love documenting families and returning priceless memories that you’ll enjoy for generations to come. I offer gift vouchers, which have become a popular option to give for milestone birthdays and celebrations where the whole extended family is coming together.

My family packages start at $700, with each package including the high-resolution digital files to keep. Many families order keepsake frames and albums and spend $1200 on average.

Q. How long does it take for our photographs to be returned?

I allow 2-3wks for editing and perfecting your photographs (with sneak peeks often sent along the way). You’ll be provided with a unique user name and password to visit your personalised gallery online. Your gallery will remain live for four weeks.

Q. Can we order prints/products via our online gallery?

Yes, absolutely! I highly recommend sharing your gallery password with friends and family so they can order directly via the online site too. Parents and Grandparents LOVE this bonus option, as photographs are sent to them within a week of ordering.

Q. Can we download our family photographs directly from our online gallery?

Yes. All files are available for immediate download at full quality.

Q. Do you offer any additional products?

I certainly do! Guiding you towards custom framing and coffee table books is a specialty of my business. Please get in touch via my contact form for a full price list and options.

Q. Where do you take the photographs?

I have favourite locations I like to suggest around the Mornington Peninsula and Melbourne wide. Many families like having their photographs taken at home, which is also lovely.

Q. What time of day is best to have family photographs taken?

I love to shoot late in the afternoon for the rich afternoon light or first thing in the morning, depending on the ages of your children.

Q. Is there a better time of year to have family photographs taken?

We need to be mindful of daylight savings here in Melbourne, with the best months being April/May and September for younger children to be out later. These months still provide mild weather with sunset nice and early. For older children and families, Sep-March is ideal as the weather is warmer therefore children are more comfortable being outdoors.

My hot tip is to have your photographs taken between Sep-Nov, so you can use them for Christmas presents. Speaking from experience, Grandparents love the gift of photographs.

Q. Do you postpone in the case of bad weather?

I do. I often leave it until the day to make the final call, but if you are flexible then I’m happy to offer an alternate day. I want you to really enjoy the experience and get the most from it. Children being comfortable is most important and I often like to play around with them on the ground, so dry weather is best.

Let me know if you’d like to talk dates, I’d love to hear from you.
